Bloody Mary With Infused Vodka

Elevate a simple bloody Mary by infusing your vodka with chilli, basil and tomato vine. The smell of fresh tomatoes is concentrated in the vine, stalk and crowns. Take advantage of this fact by infusing all that fresh goodness into some booze.

Ingredients for the vodka

  • 500 ml vodka
  • 3 sprigs of basil
  • 2 chillis of your choice
  • 1 lengths of tomato vine


Wash the vine, chillis and basil  and put in a seal-able container. If you like it really hot then slice your chillis in halve. I just punctured them. Add vodka.

Remove the basil after a day or so. Remove the tomato vine the day after that. The chillis you can leave however long you want. 

Bloody Mary

  • Infused vodka ( I use a generous shot per person)
  • 3 shakes of Worcester sauce
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • tomato juice
  • ice cubes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Add together and stir.
